A Congress MLA – Anand Nyamagouda – was caught on digital camera abusing and threatening a police inspector in Bagalkot district in poll-bound Karnataka. The video has been shared on social media and has drawn widespread ire.

The Congress MLA was reportedly caught threatening a police sub inspector (PSI) on Thursday in Jamkhandi city over the development of a circle within the city.

The row occurred when the PSI reportedly tried to persuade the MLA that the development of a circle on the town would turn into a problem. The disagreement enraged the Congress MLA.

He was caught utilizing foul language and threatened the on responsibility PSI in a public place within the presence of his supporters.

“You ought to be quiet. What are you aware? Let me let you know. The present authorities may assist you. I gained’t go away you,” the MLA allegedly instructed PSI.

“Who do you suppose you’re? Are you an MLA? This isn’t performed,” Nyamagouda is heard saying.

Anand Siddu Nyamagouda gained the Jamkhandi seat in 2018 by defeating Kulkarni Shrikant Subrao of the Bharatiya Janata Occasion by a margin of 39,480 votes.
