The French state rail operator has been accused of “severe abuse and acts of cruelty” for the “deliberate” launch of the practice by 30 Tens of millions d’Amis (30 Million Pals). The demise of the cat was witnessed by its homeowners Georgia and 15-year-old Melaïna who desperately notified workers of the cat on the tracks.

The operator refused their determined pleas to delay the departure of the practice till their pet was rescued.

The four-year-old cat, Neko, was killed on the tracks on the Montparnasse mainline station in Paris on January 2.

Neko had managed to flee the pet service after which jumped onto the tracks and went beneath a high-speed practice which was ready to be launched.

Georgia and Melaïna requested the railway workers to delay the practice, however they blamed the pair for not having the cat on a lead.

Head of the animal basis, Reha Hutin mentioned in an announcement that the pet was “knowingly crushed”.

Hutin added: “Along with the abominable cruelty of the information, the animal was in compliance with guidelines, his homeowners had bought a ticket for him to journey together with them.

“It was due to this fact an SNCF passenger who was knowingly crushed.”

The animal rights group quoted the 15-year-old as saying: “I screamed, I panicked, I requested everybody for assist…then our cat was killed.

“They instructed us that it wasn’t their drawback, that it was solely a cat and that we must always have saved it on a lead.

“We noticed Neko run beneath a practice and…then we noticed him lower in half. It was so violent.”

Maître Xavier Bacquet, a lawyer for the animal rights group mentioned: “Animals reside beings and you may’t deal with dwelling beings any previous how.
